Sea Serpents for Flannel Friday

A few years ago, I stumbled across Stephanie Stokes' site, Library Palooza (http://www.librarypalooza.com/) and her archive of Puppet Tales newletters.  In the issue for June 2008, Sea Serpent Tales, she had a rhyme and pattern for FIVE GREEN SEA SERPENTS.  I tweaked it just a little to make it SIX LARGE SEA SERPENTS and cut my serpents out of varigated felt pieces.  I use these with storytimes on sea creatures or imagination or things that swim.

I don't find time to post as much as I'd like, but I've been enjoying and using the Flannel Friday ideas and wanted to join in the fun.

Welcome to Flannel Friday and congratulations on your first contribution! It is great!

I had never thought of doing a flannel for sea serpents but I love it! I think it would be a fun addition to our pirate storytime this summer. And Iove the variegated felt. I think I need some! Lol

Welcome to Flannel Friday! I must be living under a rock because I've never even seen variegated felt at the store!
